The upward extension integrates magnificently into the existing administration building. With a surface area of 282 m2 it is very generously designed. The carpentry company won 3rd prize in a SIKA competition for the laying of the parquet floor. The assessment criteria were the degree of difficulty, the quality of the work, the work organisation and the laying speed.

The increased trend towards upward extensions, sideways extensions and conversions has been confirmed in recent years. In areas with high land prices such as Liechtenstein or urban conditions such as in Zurich, it is by all means worth checking upward extension. The wood construction system offers the advantage that it is roughly 1/3 of the weight of brickwork, i.e. existing buildings need either no reinforcing or reinforcing at specific points only.
